Good news from Viktor!

Curt here:

We received our I 171-H form from the USCIS the last week of July, indicating that we were good to go to adopt the boys from the U.S. standpoint.  We promptly sent that document to Viktor and thought we were finally done with our dossier.  We were out of town the following two weeks only to receive an email that 3 of the documents had to be redone for what seemed minor reasons.  This was certainly frustrating, but we are very glad to have Viktor to catch these things so that our dossier does not get hung up in the system.  This process really forces you to work on your patience and learn to trust in God's timing.  When we returned home, we dove into getting those documents reworked and sent them off within a week.  They arrived in Kiev on August 29th, and we heard from Viktor today that our dossier was translated and submitted on September 4th!!!!   It looks like we will need to be in Ukraine the last week of October to start the final process.

We are excited that we are finally zeroing in on our travel dates, but it also brings into focus that fact that, God willing, it will not be long until the boys are back here with us for good.  Still much to do to get everything ready.   We ask for prayers that we would be prepared and that doors will open so that the legal process in Ukraine runs smoothly.  More to follow as our flight date gets closer.
